Introduction to Dairy Products and Processes Short Course
This course is designed for those new to dairy or who work in non-operational or non-technical roles. The course outlines the different dairy products and explores the manufacturing processes used to make them. The functionality and sensory attributes of the different dairy products is examined, and numerous practical exercises are included to enhance leaning.

Equip participants in understanding the different dairy products including the basic science, functionality and sensory attributes.

Understand how each dairy product group is manufactured from raw milk to finished goods.
The sensory and functionality attributes of each product group.
Gain insights into the end use of the product – retail, foodservice, ingredient

Exploring the main product groups – milks, cheese, butter, yoghurt, milk & whey powders.
Overview of the manufacturing processes for each product group.
Assessing the sensory attributes of each product group.
Assessing the functionality attributes of different products groups – includes hands on practical activities.
Evaluating the packaging types used for different products.

Our Short Courses
Our short courses are designed to maximise your learnings through theory and practical activities while minimising your time away from your job. Most of the short course are one-day in duration and are run at a central location in Scoresby, Victoria. The courses can also be run at your site and can be tailored to suit the learning needs of your staff.
The cost of the one-day courses is $495-00 + GST pp with the two-day courses costing $795-00 + GST pp. The costs include all learning materials and catering, and all participants receive a Certificate of Participation.
