Food Safety Compliance Services

FoodPlus has been pivotal to many companies in helping them meet their food safety requirements.  We offer a range of services to ensure your company’s quality systems are compliant to the relevant standards. 

The services we offer include:

  • A Quality Systems Gap Analysis identifies areas in the company’s current documentation and practices which differ from the required standards.  FoodPlus have helped many companies close these gaps through the development of checklists and reports as well as training and mentoring staff in their roles and responsibilities.

  • Internal auditing involves a thorough and systematic evaluation of your company’s documentation and work practices to set standards and regulations.  At FoodPlus we can develop Quality Systems Internal Audit Templates or use yours to evaluate compliance to quality objectives.  Furthermore, we can provide advice on areas of improvement and effective controls, and we can also provide staff training if required.

  • GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) Audits also form part of Internal Audits.  GMP & Housekeeping audits assess the site’s hygiene and housekeeping practices to help eliminate and minimise microbiological, allergen, chemical and foreign matter contamination of product. FoodPlus can develop GMP audit templates and systems for reporting and follow up as well providing a set of ‘external eyes’ to help identify areas where product can be at risk.

  • Auditing of Suppliers is critical to ensure the ingredients, packaging and other materials your company uses meets strict quality standards.  FoodPlus can provide an expert and independent service to evaluate your company’s suppliers to ensure supplier performance meets the required Quality Standards. 

  • FoodPlus has helped many companies acquire or retain their regulatory licences for:

    • State regulators including DFSV, TDIA, SFQ, etc.

    • Dairy Approved Arrangement (AA) with DAFF.  Required for exporting product.

    • Importing Country Requirements (DAFF).

    • Compliance to the Food Standards Code (FSANZ).

    HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points) is instrumental to a company’s Food Safety Program.  We can develop, review and provide training to ensure HACCP Plans are well documented, compliant and user-friendly.

    GFSI (Global Food Safety Initiative) standards or schemes ensure food safety management systems are of a high standard to produce safe food for consumers.  For a company to meet this certification, it must demonstrate its food safety program  is operating in a thorough, systematic and effective manner to protect consumers from food safety risks.  FoodPlus has helped many companies acquire and retain GFSI schemes.

    In the Infant and Toddler Formula manufacturing space, FoodPlus has helped support companies in acquiring and retaining a USFDA licence to standard 21CFR 106/107/110/117.  This work has allowed companies to export product to the USA.
